Monica (Hesketh) Leary, 92, of Natick and formerly of Norfolk, died February 20 in the Maryann Morse Healthcare in Natick. She was the wife of the late Leo F. Leary who died in 1983.
Born in Inse, England, February 14, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Baron) Hesketh, Mrs. Leary came to America after World War II.
She first lived in Charlestown, then Hyde Park, Norfolk and Plymouth prior to settling in Natick 7 years ago.
She had been an LPN for the Needham VNA for seven years.
Monica loved to travel, go to the beach, sew and be with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, William Leary and his wife Donna of Natick and Kathleen Note and her husband Costa of Norfolk.
She was the mother of the late John and Robert Leary.
She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Jacqueline Leary of West Roxbury and her grandchildren, Natasha, Joseph, Joshua and Evan Leary.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 26 in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main Street in Walpole at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.
Visiting hours will be on Monday from 5-8 p.m.
