Philip Gallant passed peacefully in his home on February 19, 2013, after a short illness. Philip was born on January 25, 1935, in Caribou, ME to Roseanna Sowma and Melvin Gallant. He spent his life in Lawrence, MA. He owned and worked at
the Continental Beauty Salon with his dear friend and long-time business partner Joseph Zappala. Philip's impeccable taste was matched only by his exceptional baking skills which left his friends and loved ones eager to break their diets whenever they saw him. Philip brightened the lives of everyone he met and will be forever remembered for his quick wit and contagious laughter. Even in his last days, Philip's humor brought joy to his loved ones. Philip is survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and god children.
Philip's life will be celebrated on Thursday, February 21st during the calling hours of 3:00-7:00 P.M. at Breen's Memorial Funeral Home, 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22nd at St. Anthony's, 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA at 10:00 A.M.
