Mrs. Mary Gertrude (Powell) Arnim of Andover, formerly of North Reading and beloved wife of the late William Arnim died at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill on Monday morning, February 18, 2013. She was 89 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on December 27, 1923, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late George and Mary G. (Seaman) Powell. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Charles Sweeney at the Veterans Association in Boston, for many years.
She will be missed by her Sisters-in-law Edna Powell of Andover and Ruby Powell of Lynnfield and niece and nephews; Gary, Ronald, Wayne, Cheryl and George Powell.
Her funeral was held from the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, at 10:30 AM.
