Obituary

FALL RIVER…Earl Gillett, 83, of Fall River, passed away February 5, 2013.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Louis Francis and Agnes Theresa (Miller) Gillett and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
He was the spouse of Jacqueline (Barrette) Gillett and he enjoyed reading, fishing and watching TV. Mr. Gillett served in the United States Army as a corporal during the Korean conflict. Earl was a member of D.A.V. William S. Greene Chapter#9 in Fall River. He had been employed at Avon Shoe as a machine operator. He was also employed at O’Day Boat as a laminator.
Survivors include his wife, 2 Sons: Garry Gillett of Swansea, Paul Gillett of E. Providence, RI, 3 Daughters: Brenda L’Heureux of Fall River, Donna Jacob of Fall River, Joanne Muritala of Providence, RI, 3 Brothers: Roy Gillett, Henry Gillett, James Gillett all of Fall River, 1 Sister: Dorothy LaFleur of Fall River, four grandchildren: Melissa Carbone, Brandon Gillett, Rebecca L’Heureux, Adam Muritala, 2 great grandchildren: Arianna Carbone, Meadow Carbone, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 9am at St. Bernadette’s Parish, 529 Eastern Ave, Fall River. Arrangements are by the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River.
