Lorraine T. (Landry) Galloway, 82, of Methuen, died peacefully Sunday evening at Blaire House in Tewksbury.
Lorraine, daughter of the late Alexander and Annie (Bedard) Landry, was born in Salem, New Hampshire on January 19, 1931 and graduated from Salem High School. Prior to her retirement from Rite Aid, she was the bookkeeper at the former Galloway Pharmacy. She was predeceased by her husband, William F. Galloway.
A longtime communicant of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, Lorraine enjoyed puzzles, and playing cards on Saturday Night. She was devoted to her family, and took great joy in cooking for her family and friends.
Lorraine will be deeply missed by her children, David Galloway of Methuen, Steven Galloway of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Nancy Galloway of Methuen and William Galloway and his wife Mary of Pelham, New Hampshire; one sister, Evelyn Guerin of Salem, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Eric, Steven and Doris; her brother-in-law, Robert Galloway and his wife Paula, her sister-in-law, Ruth Robinson and her husband Terry and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Fran Grombeck and Gertrude Hogg and her brother, Leo Landry.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Lorraine’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the KENNETH H. POLLARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Thursday from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
