Obituary

Mary H. (Kane) Hayward, 84, of East Walpole, died February 17 in St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton. She was the wife of the late Stanley Hayward.
Born in Walpole, January 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Martin and Helen (O’Donnell) Kane, Mrs. Hayward was a lifelong East Walpole resident.
Whether it was staying at home with her children, working at her niece's bakery, or taking care of her grandchildren, Mary's life evolved around her family. An extension to Mary's family was her many beloved dogs which she owned over the years. During her free time, Mary was an avid runner, a passion which continued well into her later years.
She will always be greatly loved and truly missed.
She is survived by her children, Susan Hayward of Carbondale, Colorado and William Hayward of Walpole.
She is also survived by her brother Philip Kane of Mansfield, her grandchildren, Shannon, Sean, Danielle, Michael and Travis.She is also survived by two special nieces Joyce Kirby and Bev Trollinger.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23 in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Heifer International, 1 World Ave, Little Rock, AR 72202.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main Street, Walpole.
