Donald E. Tracy, 75, died Sunday, February 17, 2013, at his residence. He was born on December 2, 1937, the son of George and Venia (Farnsworth) Tracy.
Donald attended Central High School and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. After high school, he became a member of the Navy, for four years, and then of the Air Force for seventeen years, retiring as Master Sargent. Donald was later employed as building & maintenance facilities manager with PSNH for 20 years. He was a member of
the American Legion, Sweeney Post and a volunteer of the Manchester Animal Shelter. He was a jack of all trades, enjoyed woodworking and helping his grandchildren to build, make and fix things. Donald also spent time relaxing with family and friends at Lake Winnisquam. He had a great sense of humor, a good soul and most of all, was a loving father and grandfather.
Donald is predeceased by his wife Jeannine (Collins) Tracy and his daughter, Patricia McNamara, as well as his brothers David and Russell Tracy.
His family members include a son, Richard Tracy, and wife Maggie, of Meredith; a daughter, Pamela Florence, and husband Henry, of Manchester; five grandchildren, Eric & Bryan Tracy, Tracy & Jacob Florence and Michael Depelteau; a great grandson, Seamus Brown; two sisters, Sandra Bourgeois, and husband Edgar, of Manchester and Linda Thibault, and husband Thomas, of Belmont; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH.
