Obituary



Walter R.”Terry” Bishop age 67, of Weymouth, died Friday February 15, 2013 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Cloudman) Bishop. He was born in Weymouth a son of the late Wendell and Rose (St. John) Bishop and was raised in Rockland. A 1963 graduate of Rockland High School he had served in the Mass Army National Guard.
Walter had been a deli manager for 20 years at the former Angelo’s Supermarket. He had also worked as a security officer for various security firms assigned to the Boston Housing Authority. In his free time Walter enjoyed playing the guitar, singing and listening to music and also enjoyed riding motorcycles. He had been a leader in the Jaycees of East Bridgewater and a cub scout leader for Pack 32 in East Bridgewater.
In addition to his wife, Walter leaves three sons Allan, Daniel and Christopher and two grandchildren Devin and Kaylan. Walter leaves a sister Marilyn Marcellus of California, a brother Richard of Newton and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-7 pm with a service at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donations in Walter’s name to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, 460 Totten Pond Road, Waltham, MA 02451.
