Obituary

BARRE: Richard A. Langley, 80, a long time resident of Barre, died Saturday evening, February 16, 2013 at The Legend Center in Gardner, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife, of 28 years, Pauline A. (Reed) Langley; a daughter Norma Jean Palermo and her husband Vincent of Leominster; two grandchildren, Travis and Daphne Palermo of Leominster. A sister, Pauline Moon of New York, predeceased him. He was born and raised in Presque Isle, Maine, son of the late Colby and Ethel (Carmichael) Langley. He was a graduate of Presque Isle High School where he was a member of the Cross Country Team. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a resident of Worcester for many years before moving to Barre in 2000.
Dick was a Proof Press Operator at the Arrow Company in West Boylston where he worked for many years until he retired. He enjoyed both candlepin and ten-pin bowling.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of both UMass Memorial Medical Center and The Legend Center for the wonderful care they provided.
