He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a devoted and generous benefactor of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the AHEPA. George spent the last two years of his life at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke where he was loved and cared for by their exceptional medical and nursing staff. He was known to all who knew him as a wonderful, kind and generous man who would rather give than receive. He leaves his loving sister and brother-in-law, Dena and Henry Clay of Springfield; his dear sister, Demetra Bozoglos of Springfield; his brother, Peter of South Hadley; his seven adoring nieces and nephews with whom he was very close to and thoroughly enjoyed spending most of his leisure time with; his six grandnieces and grandnephews; and his dear cousin, Nicholas Layos with whom he worked closely with at the Nuttie Goodie Tea Room for over four decades. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his loving brother and sister, William Legos and Elizabeth Legos. His family would like to extend a sincere debt of gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Soldiers Home for the exceptional care that they provided George during his long journey home.
