Obituary

Richard C. Guinard, 89, of Franklin died February 17 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Priscilla G. (Desper) Guinard.
Born in Peterborough, New Hampshire, November 20, 1923, the son of the late Wilfred and Alice (Frazier) Guinard, Mr. Guinard came to Franklin at the age of 7.
Mr. Guinard had worked for the Clark, Cutler and McDermott Company in Franklin for 54 years, retiring as a foreman.
As a young man Mr. Guinard was a talented baseball player who had played semi- pro. He also enjoyed, later in life, bowling, gardening and was a talented harmonica player.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Michelle Tracy and her husband Dan of Franklin, Lisa Guinard of Manhattan, New York and Nicole Guinard of Westport.
He is also survived by his siblings, Ralph Guinard of Palmetto, Florida, Joanne Fox of St. Petersburg, Florida and Winifred DesRosiers of North Attleboro.
He was the brother of the late Walter, Wilfred, Phyllis, Patricia, Barney, Leo, Milton, Shirley and Anita.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Danielle and Joseph.
His funeral service will be held in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin, Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8.
