Nimrid E. “Betty” Melcher, 79, of Bancroft Road, Londonderry, NH died Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at her home. She was born in Malden, MA on March 18, 1922. She was a resident of Londonderry for over 22 years, formerly living in Derry. She was a waitress for many years at Maridor’s Restaurant, Framingham, MA and Fantasia’s Restaurant in Cambridge, MA. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Melcher in 1960.
She is survived by her six sons, Raymond Melcher, of Boston, MA, John Melcher, of Bridgewater, MA, Daniel Melcher, of Londonderry, NH, Michael Melcher, Joseph Melcher, both of Weare, NH, Richard Melcher, of Richmond, VA, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
There will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, of Derry and Londonderry, is handling the arrangements.
