Florence G. (Gallarane) Tolland, 108, passed away Tuesday, February 12th at Presidential Oaks Nursing Home in Concord, NH.
Born and educated in Lawrence, Florence was a graduate of Lawrence High School and she attended Boston University. She was a legal secretary for the Law Office of Sweeney and Sargent as well as for Judge A.X. Dooley. Florence had lived in Reading, MA for 45 years where she was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in North Andover, MA and was a volunteer secretary for the Greater Lawrence Council of Churches.
Florence loved traveling through many parts of the US, Canada and Europe. She enjoyed line dancing, bingo and arts and crafts. Florence was predeceased by her husband, John Tolland, her siblings Henry and Leo Gallarane, Alice Collins, Genevieve Gallarane and Mary Van Valen and her nephews Richard and Donald Gallarane and niece Cleonice Robie.
She is survived by her nieces Myra and Warren Meier of Alton Bay, NH and Orrell Murray of Sun City, AZ in addition to several great nieces and nephews.
