Obituary

HOWLEY David J. of Newton, an avid lover of film legends, animals, nature, music, theater, the English language and spending time with family and friends died Feb. 12, 2013. Veteran of the Korean War in the US Army, where he served as a Medic, he later worked at the Newton- Wellesley Hospital for over 40 years. Son of the late Francis and Hannah Howley. Beloved brother of Catherine M. (Howley) Carr and the late Marie (Howley) Lloyd. Uncle of Gayle, Bonnie, Diane, Susan, Steven, Kenny and David. He is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his friends at the Golda Meir House. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Tuesday, Feb. 19th. at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours on Monday 5-8pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in David’s memory to the Animal Rescue League, ASPCA or to Fr. Scott Donohue at the Mercy Home for Girls and Boys in Chicago.
