Obituary

Lillian F. (Perry) LaBrode, 88, of New Bedford died February 15, 2013 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late John E. LaBrode.
Born in Fairhaven, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Mrs. LaBrode was formerly employed by Goodyear and later was employed as a stitcher in several local textile mills for many years until her retirement. In retirement, she worked at the Fairhaven Council on Aging.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, knitting and trips to Foxwoods. Mrs. LaBrode was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include 2 sons, Alan LaBrode and his wife Ann of Hopedale, MA and Ronald LaBrode and his wife Darrah of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Carol LaBrode and her companion Phillip Chevalier and Patricia Zussy and her husband Robert, all of New Bedford; a daughter-in-law, Cecelia Whalen LaBrode of Fairhaven; a sister, Lucy Rapoza of Dartmouth; 9 grandchildren, Renee DeLoid, Amy Modracek, Gregory Chevalier, Gerald Chevalier, Molly LaBrode, Sarah LaBrode, John LaBrode, III, Aaron LaBrode and Trine Vinagre; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late John LaBrode, Jr. and Steven LaBrode and the sister of the late Albert Perry, Joseph Perry, Daniel Sarmento and Mary Nelson.
Her private arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
