Theresa A. (Silva) Ramos, 84, of New Bedford died February 15, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Antone "Tony" Ramos.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Jose and Adelaide (Soares) Silva, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church where she sang in the church choir and was a member of St. Martin dePorres Society.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Susan Ramos of Detroit, MI; a son, Steven Ramos and his wife Linda of New Bedford; a sister, Julia Viera of Queens, NY; 2 grandchildren, Cori Ramos of Baltimore, MD and Lynsey Ramos of New Bedford; her beloved friend, Josephine Gomes of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Marge Fonseca.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, February 20th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, February 19th from 4-8 PM.
