Phyllis G. Gilbert, 75, Anderson died February 15, 2013 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
Phyllis was born April 15, 1937 in Burkesville, Kentucky to Daniel Alvis and Mildred Elaine Anderson.
She was a retail clerk at Kmart 20 years.
She was a member of Church of Christ and White River Bluegrass Club; loved to collect figurines and dolls; spend time with her family; and listen to bluegrass music.
Survivors include her children; Greg (Janie) Gilbert; Sandra (Michael) Tetrault all of Anderson; John K. (Vickie) Gilbert of Chesterfield; Doris Davidson (Larry Long) of Anderson; 9 grandchildren Scott (Gail) Akers; Angela Gilbert; Greg Gilbert; Dustin (Ashley) Hunter; Mike Ashby; John Gilbert; Misty Walters; Daniel Maynard; Megan Davidson; 8 great grandchildren; Cooper Akers; Kennedy Akers; Gabrielle Akers; Kaleb Hunter; Tyler Gilbert; Emma Maynard; Ava Maynard; Alexavier Carper and one on the way; 2 brothers: Dempsey (Ruby) Anderson and Jimmy (Becky) Anderson all of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Frank "Slim" Gilbert whom she married August 20, 1953 in Glasgow, Kentucky, died December 3, 2010; and 2 grandchildren, Justin Daniel Hunter and Shelly Ashby.
Services will be Monday, February 18, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial is in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M.
