Irene Walker Kicklighter, 81, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Friday, February 15, 2013, at Irwin County Hospital.
Graveside service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 17 at Evergreen Cemetery with the Pastor Larry Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service time at the Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Kicklighter was born October 16, 1931, in Fitzgerald to the late William Cleveland Walker and Carrie Lou Johnston Walker. She moved back to the Fitzgerald community after she retired from Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia, as a keypunch operator. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two sisters: Mary Ann & Clyde Bailey of Fitzgerald and Clarice & Charles Aycock of Albany; nephew and caretaker: Jerry Thompson of Fitzgerald and several other nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
