Tommy Warren “Tom” Aultman, 72, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 18, 2013, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mr. Aultman was born on June 7, 1940 and was the son of Warren Aultman and Frances Hogan Aultman, both deceased. Tom was a graduate of Ocilla High School and the University of Georgia. He was an Independent Insurance Adjuster specializing in catastrophic losses. During his career, he traveled across the United States to adjust claims caused by earthquakes, fires, floods and hurricanes, at times spending months away from home.

Tom’s early years were spent on the Hogan Farm in Chula or the Aultman Farm in Tifton with his many cousins riding horses, swimming in the pond and playing the games of a youth that did not know computers were on the horizon. The cousins who have all stayed in touch throughout the years and will miss him are: James “Buck” Aultman, Margaret Aultman, Kathryn Aultman, Robert Aultman, John Hiers, Mary Hiers Treadaway, Barry Hogan, Susan Sedlick Brennan, Frances Baltes Tidd, Dave Matthews, Joe Baltes, Ric Hogan, Jim Matthews, Mike Sedlick, DaBo Hogan, Steve Hogan, Ed Matthews, Michele Hogan Sheaffer and David Hogan.

The family gives special thanks to caregiver and friend, Susan Chambers for her dedication in caring for Tom during his illnesses. We also thank the other members of the team who assisted in his care.

Tom was also a very special nephew to his Mother’s sisters – Virginia Sedlick, Betty Matthews, Becky Baltes (deceased) and Louise Hiers (deceased).
