Obituary

OCALA, Fla.—Noella Lavoie, 99, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Ocala Regional Hospital. Mrs. Lavoie was born in Island Pond, Vt., but lived most of her life in Berlin, N.H., with her husband, Gerard Lavoie, who predeceased her. Together they owned and operated Langis Shoe Store until 1973.

She moved to The Villages in Florida in 2001 where she enjoyed knitting and playing cribbage with friends twice a week—she was fondly known as the “Cribbage Queen.”

She is survived by her daughter, Lucille Bouchard and husband, Roland, of The Villages, Fla.; her grandchildren Michelle McEwen of Bristol, N.H., Ann Larson of Conway, N.H., and David Bouchard of Reno, Nev.; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Marks Catholic Church, 7165 SE 73rd Avenue, Summerfield, FL 34491. (353) 347-9317
