Obituary

Francis H. “Rocky’ Rego, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 13th at Seashore Point in Provincetown. He was the husband of Linda (Attanasio) Rego.

Born in Provincetown, the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Marks) Rego, he was a fisherman and Captain of the F/V Janet and Jean. He was also know for his carpentry skills and was highly regarded among the local building trades.

Besides his wife, he leaves sons Randy Atkinson of Sacramento, Christopher Rego of Provincetown, Scott Rego of Brewster, and Eric ‘Rocky’ Rego of Wellfleet. Daughters Priscilla Rego of Eastham and Shannon Rego of Truro, as well as eight grandchildren also survive him. He also leaves nieces Patty Lisbon, Charlotte Gordon and nephew Brian Lisbon.

He was predeceased by daughter Reneé Lodato, a son James Kelly, brothers George and Anthony ‘Junior’ Rego, as well as sisters Lillian and Carol Rego.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Gately Funeral Home, 94 Harry Kemp Way, Provincetown, on Thursday, February 21st from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A celebration of Mr. Rego’s life will be held in the summer.
