Halifax - Richard A. “Dick” Earle 70, died Monday February 11, surrounded by his loving family after a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Miriam A. “Dolly” (Lemasters) Earle.
Born in Hanson and raised in Rockland he was the son of the late Arthur W. and Thelma (White) Earle.
Before his retirement, and his move to Halifax in 1992, Dick had been a familiar face as a custodian of Whitman-Hanson Regional High for over 18 years.
He loved time spent fishing and also enjoyed bowling.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the South Shore Hospice for the care and kindness given to Dick.
In addition to his wife loving Dolly he is survived by his step-children Debbie Burke of Maine, Michael Lemasters of MS and Kathleen Sprague of Maine and his brother James Earle of Halifax. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and his three “Best Pals” Matt, Joey and Jared.
Family and friends are invited to attend a “Celebration of Life” to be held Saturday February 16 from 10 AM – 2 PM in the Henrich Hall Community Center, 33 Redwood Drive, Halifax, MA 02338.
