N. Ft. Myers, FL.– Marcel V. Roux, 77, died February 12, 2013 at Hope Hospice following a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Manchester, NH on May 28, 1935 the son of Antonio and Eva (Lagace) Roux.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He held membership in The Catholic War Veterans Post 1749 of Ste. Marie Parish. He worked many years as foreman of the paint department at Hamel Auto Body in Manchester.
Marcel was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed being Pepere to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family members include his wife of 56 years, Claire (Soucy) Roux of N. Ft. Myers, FL., one son; Daniel Roux and his fiancee, Deborah of Windham, three daughters; Diane Gagne of Bedford, Joanne Duval and her husband Michael of Manchester, Susan Pothier of Canterbury, 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 PM at J.N. Boufford & Sons, 110 Bridge St. Manchester.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 12 Noon in St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock Sts.
Burial will take place on Tuesday at 12:30 PM in NH Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
Memorial donations may be made in Marcel’s name to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL. 33909.
