Irma Ruth Hatfield, age 73, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Hatfield was born on September 11, 1939 in Douglas, GA to the late Roy and Katie Marie Jewell Floyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hatfield.
Survivors include: her daughter: Bettina Renee (Daryl) Stewart, Douglas, GA; Two sons: James Kevin King, Douglas, GA and Roy Brent (Melissa) King, Alma, GA; One Brother: Sam Floyd; Three Sisters: Kathleen Griffis, Brunswick, GA; Edna Vickers, TN; and Naomi Payne, McRae, GA; Four Grandchildren: Candice Taylor, Daniel King, Ryan King, and Jason Dell, Several Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Morris King, two sisters: Lois Baker and Alice Vickers and two brothers: Onis Floyd and Austin Floyd.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Church of Christ Latter Day Saints with Bishop Ashley Wood officiating. Music was furnished by Lois Miles at the organ with Timothy Fussell, singing “How Great Thou Art”. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers: Dylan Taylor, Daniel King, Anthony Taylor, Daryl Stewart and Ryan King.
