Marie P. (Caputo) Richardson 83, of Franklin, died peacefully Monday January 28, 2013 at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George F. Richardson who died in 1995.
Born February 27, 1929 in Worcester, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine Caputo, she was raised and educated in Worcester and was a former longtime resident of Northborough, MA and Woonsocket, RI before moving to Franklin.
Marie was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed crosswords, playing bingo, and spending time with her family, and her friends at the Franklin Senior Center.
She is survived by her children George G. Richardson of Franklin, and Terry L. Shields of Deltona, Florida, 2 brothers Frank Caputo of West Boylston and Tony Caputo of Spencer, & 2 sisters Grace Claprood of Worcester and Anna Piccioli of Natick.
She is the mother of the late Greg H. Richardson and sister of the late Lillian Palermo and Nancy Caputo.
Also surviving are her grandchildren Tina Smith, Tanya Martin, Tim Shields, Tiffany Shields-Bowrin and Edie Richardson, & 2 great grandchildren Jordan and Bailey Martin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at her son’s home 22 Mackintosh St. Franklin, MA 02038 Saturday February 16, 2013 from 3-6PM, relatives and friends are welcome.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
