Rita L. Guillet 102, died Monday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Louis Guillet. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Pierre and Aline (Langlais) Barras. Mrs. Guillet was a homemaker for most of her life. In her later years, she was a cafeteria worker for the school lunch program at Woonsocket High School. Rita was a member of the St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three sons, Louis Guillet Jr. of Nasonville, Paul Guillet of Seffner, FL, and Pierre Guillet of Woonsocket, four daughters, Aline Folding of Harwich, MA, Jeanne Merlet and Jacqueline Allard both of Woonsocket, and Madeleine Dickie of Sun City, SC, two brothers Andre Barras of Woonsocket, and Pierre Barras of CA, a sister Lucille Auclair of N. Smithfield, eighteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Robert, Lucien, Leo Paul, Oscar, Adrien, and Victor Barras, and Olivette Dubois.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30 in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home.
