Obituary

Thomas F. Hollow, 79, of Boxford, formerly of Danvers, died Monday morning, February 11, 2013 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Marjorie (LeBlanc) Hollow, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn on May 20, 1933, he was the son of the late Thomas and Florence (Fay) Hollow, he was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1951. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Tom owned and operated Tom’s Variety Store on Walnut Street in Lynn for nearly 45 years.
An avid woodworker, he enjoyed making Adirondack chair, picnic tables, and other wood products. He enjoyed horses and dogs, and spent many Sundays at horse shows watching his daughters compete.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Janet Ciulla and her husband Richard of Middleton, James Hollow of Ipswich, Susan Fryer and her husband John of Newton, NH, and Sandra Foley and her husband Brian of Sterling, three grandsons, Charles and Anthony Ciulla and Thomas Foley, and three brothers, John and William Hollow of Lynn and Michael Hollow of Florida. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Hollow.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11:30AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, Park St., Topsfield. Burial is in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. Visiting hours are prior to the funeral from 9-11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
