Georgina “Bunty” Robertson, 90, lost her long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s on Friday February 8, 2013 at the Wingate at Andover.
Bunty was born and educated in Arbroath, Scotland and had been a longtime resident of both Lawrence and Methuen. She was born on March 5, 1922 the daughter of James and Georgina (Grieg) Reid.
She was employed with Western Electric of North Andover for over 20 years before her retirement in 1982.
According to her devoted children, Bunty enjoyed reading, traveling and playing 45’s, a card game known only to Merrimack Valley residents. Her greatest joy however came with spending time with friends and family.
Bunty was the widow of the late Kingsley Robertson and is survived by her children, Kary Roberson and husband Tom Costello of Plum Island, Newburyport, Jim and wife Sylvia Robertson of Bradford, MA., Bill and wife Mary Robertson of Newburyport and Debbie and husband Steve Aleksa of Methuen, 7 grandchildren: Renee, Lauren, Craig, Mallory, Jacob Robertson and Cam and Danny Aleksa.
Bunty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday morning at 10:30 AM from the Kenneth H Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 to 8PM.
