Marie E Arria of Melrose, formerly of Medford and the West End, died peacefully Wednesday evening at Genesis Nursing Home. She was 83.
Raised in the West End, Marie had lived in Medford before moving to Melrose several years ago. She was the daughter of the late Isabel (Fama) and Concetto Arria and was a secretary for many years at the State Street Bank. De voted sister and a special and loving aunt to all of her nieces and nephews, Marie enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
The loving sister of Thomas Arria of Malden, Theresa Arria of Medford, Anthony Arria of Melrose, and the late Pauline Bottari, Salvatore and Santo Arria, She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8 pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
