Emily Catherine Alvey, 89, of Jeffersontown passed away February 8, 2013 at The Nazareth Home.
She was born in New Haven, KY, She was a directory assistance operator for Bell South for 31 years, a member of the Telephone Pioneers, CWA #3310 and St. Edward Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stella Bowling Alvey and Boonie Alvey, brothers, Russell, Ed, Joe, Frank Alvey and her sister, Monica.
She is survived by her brothers, Marvin Alvey (Harriett), Charlie Alvey (Billie), sisters, Martha Wheeler, (Ches), Lillian Ann Bizzell (Tom) and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her uncles children whom she cared for Bill Bowling (Betty), Harold Bowling (Kathleen), Mary Ann Gant (Bill),

Funeral Mass will be held 10 am, Tuesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, 9608 Sue Helen Dr. Visitation will be 2-8Pm, Monday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Burial St. Michael Cemetery.
