CAMDEN, NJ … Esther (Barboza) Kaminski, 83, of Mt. Holly, New Jersey, formerly of Tiverton, RI, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 3, 2013.
Esther was the beloved wife of the late Hillary (Bill) C. Kaminski. They met through a mutual love of the accordion and played beautifully together for 25 years.
She was born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Rev. Manuel and Augusta (Gomes) Barboza and had lived in Tiverton for 33 years before moving to New Jersey in 2011 to be close to her family.
Esther was an active member of the Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church in Tiverton where she sang in the choir. She was a member of the Tiverton Senior Center chorus and enjoyed entertaining residents at local nursing homes. She loved music and enjoyed playing the accordion and the piano for family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter Sharon Roth of Mt. Holly, NJ, a sister Ada Barboza of Hollywood, FL, a brother Daniel Barboza of Westport MA, two cherished grandchildren Caitlyn and Nicholas Roth, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Antonio Barboza, Zacharias Barboza, Joel Barboza, and Augusta Barboza.
Esther’s funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church, Stafford Road, Tiverton. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River MA. Calling hours will be Thursday 5 – 8 PM at the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church at 1264 Stafford Rd. Tiverton, RI 02878; Riverview Estates at 303 Bank Avenue, Riverton, NJ 08077; or a charity of your choice.
