Obituary

EVANS – Mrs. Marion S. Lamar, beloved wife of Raymond Lamar, entered into rest on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Pittman officiating. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Lamar received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University Hospital Barrett School of Nursing. She retired from the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in 1993 after more than 30 years of service. She headed the “It’s Spooky to be Hungry” drive in the Idylewilde Subdivision, and was member of West Acres Baptist Church, where she was active with the Christian Women’s Association.

In addition to her husband, Ray, she is survived by her daughter, Shannon Marlowe (Mark), her son, Kipler Lamar (Vicki), and her grandchildren, Aaron Marlowe, Seth Marlowe, Raymond Harris Lamar, and Hayden Lamar. She is also survived by her special friends, Sandra Johnson and Margaret Albrecht.
