Giovanni Ventresca, 93 of Medford, died Monday following a lengthy illness at the Intergrated Health Services of Medford. Born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy. He was the son of the late Domenico and the late Donata Ventresca. He was a Medford resident for four years formerly of Boston´s North End. Prior to his retirement he worked for many years as construction laborer.
Giovanni is the husband of the late Loreta (Federico). Father of Anna Federico of Medford and Donato Ventresca of Melrose. Father-in-law of Carmine Federico and the late Loretta Ventresca. Grandfather of John Ventresca, Phyllis Johnson, Salina Ventresca, Danny Ventresca Jr. Carmine Federico Jr. Great Grandfather of John Ventresca Jr., Dianna Ventresca, Robert Johnson Jr. and Michael Johnson. Brother of Pierina Federico of New York and the late Francesco Ventresca, Laura Almonte and Maria Leone
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
