Ruby Louise Bryan Tucker, 87, of Moultrie died Monday, February 4, 2013, of natural causes at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton, where she was a longtime member. Rev. Tony Walker and Rev. Silas Carver will officiate with burial to follow in Omega Cemetery. Russell Bryan, David Sumner, Wayne Tucker, Michael Tucker, Jackie Crumley and Jerry Crumley will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born January 16, 1926 in Tift County, she was the daughter of William W. Bryan and Mary Elizabeth Jones Bryan, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Rev. Arthur Tucker; one son, Jimmy Tucker; five brothers, Jesse, Fred, Irwin, Henry and Roy Bryan; one sister, Nina Shivers; two granddaughters; and one grandson.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by one son, Willis Tucker of Moultrie; one daughter, Louise Walker of Tallahassee, Florida; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
