Evelyn (Botelho) Rego age 86 of Somerset passed away February 2, 2013. Born in Fall River, she was a Somerset resident most of her life. Evelyn was the beloved wife of Edmund Rego and daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Moniz) Botelho. She had worked as an account clerk for the Fall River Water Department before retiring and she was a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
Evelyn was the mother of Marie Roy (husband Ed) of Urbana, IL and Carol Herman (husband Bruce) of River Edge, NJ; sister of Mary Barboza, Lydia Raposa, Elizabeth Botelho and the late Joe, Louis, Manuel and Albert Botelho and Agnes Oliveira and grandmother of Nicole and Adam Herman, Bailie Roy and the late Glenn Roy. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River TUESDAY with a calling hour from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset at 10:00 A.M.
