Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Colman Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm.
Obituary Information
Mr. Twomey died unexpectedly Monday morning at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born in Brockton, son of the late George M. and Mary E. (McGrath) Twomey. He was a life long resident of Brockton, attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1965. Graduate of Quincy Junior College, where he earned a Business degree and attended Suffolk University prior to his active military service. He was a veteran of the US Army who served during the Vietnam era. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed golfing and baseball. He had been a volunteer at the Brockton VA Medical Center for over 20 years, receiving the Volunteer Service Award for the many hours he volunteered at the hospital.
He is survived by two brothers, James M. Twomey of W. Bridgewater and George E. Twomey of Whitman and a sister, Mary E. Cappiello of Brockton and many nieces and nephews.
