Betty E. Morrison, 76, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, July 12, 2004, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Kelly Brown, Rev. Tom Braziel and Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow in Arbor Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morrison was born January 12, 1921 in Hapeville, Georgia, to the late Clement Angus and Imogene Cross Evans. She lived in the community since 1951. Mrs. Morrison was a member of First Baptist Church, the Phoebean Sunday School Class and the Young At Heart.
Mrs. Morrison is survived by two sons: Robert Morrison, Jr., St. Louis, MO and Paul Morrison, Fitzgerald; two daughters: Nancy Parker, Tifton and Becky Goff, Fitzgerald; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters: Martha Jean McWilliams, Ocala, FL and Pat Barber, Memphis, TN; one brother: Buddy Evans, Atlanta, GA She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Morrison.
The family suggests those desiring to send memorials in lieu of flowers may send them to First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald or their favorite charity.
