Obituary

SALEM - Christine I. Kocinski, 69, of Beverly, formerly of Salem, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 following a long illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Harriet (Palmer) Kocinski. Chris was a lifelong resident of the city until moving to Beverly 3 years ago.

She was employed by the City of Salem in the Auditor’s and Treasurer’s Offices during the 1960's to mid 1970's. She then entered the medical field where she worked in various clerical positions, eventually working in medical billing from 1990 until her retirement in 2010.

Chris is survived by two sisters and brother’s in law, Angela and Robert Connery and Claudia and Edward Lotti, all of Salem, one aunt, Irene Bochynski of Peabody, nieces and nephews Colleen Connery of Brookdale, CA, Bryan Connery of Ludlow, VT, Tricia & husband Todd Nottingham of Swampscott, Edward and wife Laurie Lotti of Lowell, a great nephew, Anthony Springthorpe, two great nieces, Margaret Nottingham and Casey Lotti and several cousins.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 from 10 to 11 am, followed by a service at 11 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
