Beth A. Flint, 52

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Beth A. (Bennett) Flint, age 52, of Mansfield, passed away surrounded by her adoring family, in the comfort of her home, on Thursday, January 31, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Donald B. Flint, to whom she was wed on May 15, 1982.
She was born in Rome, New York on April 25, 1960 and was a loving daughter of the late Lewis E. and Leah L. (Etu) Bennett.
Beth grew up in Rome, New York and was a 1978 graduate of the Rome Free Academy. She furthered her education to become a 1980 graduate of the State University of New York at Cobleskill where she had studied secretarial skills.
A resident of Mansfield for over 30 years, Beth was a familiar and well known face in the Mansfield community. She assisted her husband Don, along with other family members in the day to day operations of the Flint Farm in East Mansfield.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Beth was quite involved in the Mansfield Basketball Association and for many years, was in charge of the Mansfield Farmers Market on downtown North Main St.
Beth enjoyed traveling and one of her favorite points of destination was always the beautiful Caribbean Islands. Her other interests included collecting Wizard of Oz and Disney memorabilia.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted sons, David B. Flint of Mansfield and his girlfriend Lindsey Dixon and Matthew L. Flint of Mansfield and his girlfriend Kerry Lane . She was the dear sister of Keith Bennett and Mark Bennett and his wife Jane all of CT and Mary Lisk of New York. She was the daughter in law of Marjorie Flint of Mansfield and the late Benjamin Flint. She is also survived by her sister in laws, Virginia Street and Nancy Flint both of Mansfield, as well her nieces and nephews, Christopher Street and Colby Street and Madeline Bennett and Katherine Bennett.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 5th at 12:00 P.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Norton Center Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 4th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Beth’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215 or the Mansfield Food Pantry, 15 West St., Mansfield, MA 02048.
