Frances "Ilone" Junkins Johnson, 83, of Tifton died Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Golden Living Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013, in Tift Memorial Gardens. Dr. Wayne Roe will officiate with burial to follow. Caleb Johnson, Tommy McBride, Brock Patrick, Lance Caulder, Jerry Young and Tyrone McDaniel will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Johnson was born on November 24, 1929 in Cook County and was the daughter of James Thomas Junkins and Blanche Sikes Junkins, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Junkins; and two sisters, Jewel Griner and Mary Lou McDaniel. She was retired from the family business, Johnson Furniture Company. She was employed at the Potter’s House Child Care during her retirement and she was a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church. She was also employed at Walmart for many years in the Fabric Department.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Ike M. Johnson Jr. of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Jill Johnson of Albany; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joni and Shelby Langston of Enigma, Linda and Herman Henry of Brookfield and Janice and Rob Patrick of Tifton; two brothers, James Junkins Jr. of Albany and Billy Junkins of Tifton; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Kyle Militano, Brandt Patrick, Brock Patrick, Lance Caulder, Casey Flippo, Caleb and Jennifer Johnson and Kelly and Tommy McBride; and nine great-grandchildren, Isabella Militano, Sophia Militano, Brooklyn Patrick, Zoey Aycock, Ian Caulder, Chance Caulder, Brianna Johnson, Chloe Johnson and Londyn McBride.
