Obituary

Fred D. Giannelli of Stoneham, formerly of Reading and Medford died Tuesday at the Aberjona Nursing Center. He was 80.

Mr. Giannelli was born in Somerville and raised in Medford, the son of the late Domenico and the late Immaculata (Baldassare) Giannelli. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After his military service he worked as an electrician, first with IBEW Local 103 and then operated his own firm, Omega Electric Construction Co. Inc., until his retirement. A member of the Medford Lodge of Elks, Fred was devoted to his family and enjoyed a special bond with his grandchildren.

The beloved husband of the late Dolores “Dee” (Agri), he was a devoted father to Karen Feldman of Stoneham and her late husband Steven, Fred Giannelli II of Salem, Dina Greenwald and her husband Martin of Northboro. He was a loving grandfather to Jason and Dustin Feldman, Riley and Chase Greenwald. The dear brother of Lucy Catino of Stoneham, Angela Giannelli of Medford, Ralph Giannelli of Las Vegas, the late Louis and Joseph Giannelli, he also survived by many god-children, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Tuesday, February 5th at 11 AM and may visit with the family, Monday evening from 4 thru 8.
