Guelda Sr., John G. 80 of Jeffersontown passed away Tuesday January 29, 2013 at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville.
Born in Louisville, he was the President and Owner of Cardinal Sanitation Co., Inc. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Korean War.
A member of St. Edward Catholic Church, a lover of the outdoors and Canadian hunting, a fishing adventurer, and an intriguing story teller, some actually true.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years the former Nancy Lee Zimlich and a son Jeffrey A. Guelda.
He is survived by his Children Richard (Suzanne), Caregivers and Sarah P. Hill, Caregiver. He is also survived by his daughter Ruth Anne Ansback (Gus), and his sons Andy, David , and John Jr. Guelda,
12 Grandchildren and 13 Grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8 pm at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown 9318 Taylorsville Rd.
Burial will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St Joseph Children’s Home or St Edward Catholic Church. The family would like to express their extreme gratitude
