Obituary

Joan E. (Horigan) Fielding, 84, of Franklin died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Dedham. She was the wife of Joseph A. Fielding who died in 1972 and Robert M. Smith who died in 1954.

Born in Boston on October 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret A. (French) Horigan.

Mrs. Fielding grew up in Dedham and graduated from Dedham High School. She was a resident of Franklin since 1960.

Before her retirement, she worked as an administrative assistant at the former Cashall Components, Inc. in Franklin from 1964-1986.

Mrs. Fielding loved dogs and was an avid antique collector. She enjoyed playing piano and also singing with friends.

She is survived by three daughters, Debra J. Inchierca of Chestnut Hill, Bobbie M. Smith of Franklin and Jill A. White of West Palm Beach, FL, four grandchildren, Keith, Dana and Dean Inchierca and Sam Adams and two great-grandchildren, Logan Inchierca and Kelsy Morrison.

She was the sister of the late Marie McLaughlin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, February 1 at 11 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin 131Main Street in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

Burial will follow at Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m.
