Evans, GA – CPO Retired Robert Frank Harris (Bob), 74, beloved husband for 46 years of Mrs. Peggy Harris, entered into rest on Sunday, January 27, 2013.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel at 2:00 PM with Reverend Larry Gilpin officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Bob served in the United States Navy for 23 Years. He worked as an Electrician for Inglett & Co. for 20 years. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 192 for 37 years and also was a member of the VFW 3200 and the VFW in Harlem, GA. He loved to go hunting, fishing, and camping.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Wanda D’Auria Ruhe (Christopher) of Pittsburgh, PA, Barbara Bobo Smith of Martinez, GA, Stacie Hall Whitten (William) of Evans, GA, and Judy K. Fields of Martinez, GA; two sisters, Donna Jecupke and Judy Anderson; seventeen grandchildren, Matthew and David D’Auria, Wayne K. Bobo, III, Jessica, Allison, and Juliette Bobo, Carson and Landon Gibbs; Caleb, Tyler Marie, and Hannah Hall, Eric, Charles, Jr, Benjamin, Alexander, and Josiah Fields, and B. Tucker Bradford.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
