Daniel H. Fernandes, 68, of Worcester, formerly of New Bedford, died Sunday January 20, 2013 at St. Vincent's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Joseph H. and Rose (Babbitt) Fernandes, he lived in New Bedford most of his life before moving to Worcester.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his siblings, Joseph H. Fernandes, Jr., Judith Fernandes, Olga Bence Williams, Irene Emerson, and Elizabeth Kinder; and nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Belmiro Fernandes.
A private funeral service was held on Tuesday morning at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial followed in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
