OBIT Conrad E. “Babe” Talbot
Bedford– Conrad E. “Babe” Talbot, 79, died January 28, 2013 at his home with his family by his side following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on July 22, 1933 the son of Joseph and Lydia (Remillard) Talbot and had been a long time resident of the community. He was a very talented baseball player excelling in both the CYO for Sacred Heart Church and American Legion Jutras Post. He was nicknamed “Babe for both his pitching prowess and his great hitting abilities.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a long time parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and most recently St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford.
He had worked as a police officer for two years then as a driver for Trailways of New England and later for Concord Trailways. He was then employed by Penske and NH Neurospine as a courier.
Family members include his wife of 59 years, Glenda (Marshall) Talbot of Bedford, two sons; Joseph Talbot and his wife, Tammy of Bedford, Stephen Talbot of Florida, three daughters; Constance Roberge and her husband Ronald of Bedford, Catherine Brewster and her husband Keith of Goffstown, Anne Talbot-Kleeman and her husband Dr. Thomas Kleeman of New Boston, 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Armand Talbot and his wife Theresa of Goffstown, three sisters; Loretta Bouffard and her husband Rheal of Hooksett, Rosamond Delisle of Manchester, Rita Bagg of Bedford and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday at 10 am in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110, or to the VNA of Manchester and Southern NH, 33 South Commercial St., Suite 401, Manchester, NH 03101-3502.
