Obituary

Anne B. (Curtin) Lanoue, age 77, of Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully at her home January 26, 2013. She was the wife of Roger E. Lanoue. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Tuite) Curtin. Anne was a 1953 graduate of Brockton High School and had been employed by New England Telephone Company for 25 years. She was a longtime communicant of St. Colman Church while living in Brockton, and was active with parish events including the Parish Coffee Hour and Pancake Breakfasts. Anne’s hands were constantly busy enjoying many crafts such as sewing, crocheting, knitting and ceramics. Always ready to help others, she enjoyed cooking, baking cakes and wallpapering when called upon. She also enjoyed time with her grandsons and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by two daughters Michelle A. Lanoue and her fiancé Kevin D. Sims of Bridgewater and Pamela J. Darling and her husband Michael of Brockton; two grandsons Christopher and Patrick Darling; a brother Peter Curtin of Brockton; a sister Margaret Paynter of Daytona Beach, Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Curtin, II, John, Anthony, Robert and William Curtin, Mary Reardon, Gertrude Kelly and Mona Reardon.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday 4-8pm. A Funeral Procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 8am for a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 9am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
