Obituary

Donald Edward Halle, 81, of Manchester, died after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease on January 26, 2013 at Villa Crest Retirement Center. Born in Norwalk, CT, on July 29, 1931, Donald was the son of Hermenegilde and Adelaide (Bourgeois) Halle.
Donald graduated from St. Joseph’s School for Boys and earned his Bachelors degree, in biology and chemistry, at St. Anselm’s College. He was a Sgt. Major in the National Guard for 31 years and graduated at the top of his class in the Officers Candidate School. Donald married his loving wife, of 58 years, Claudette Asselin, in 1954. He worked as a Lab Technician and Radiation Specialist, with the State of New Hampshire. Donald truly enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and took great pleasure in traveling.

Donald is survived by his wife Claudette; two sons, Kenneth Halle (and wife Renee), of Manchester, and Daniel Halle, of Florida; three grandchildren, Amanda, Thomas (and wife Hannah) and Laura Halle; two sisters, Lorraine Frechette and Janette Hart (and husband James), all of Florida; and two brothers, Richard Halle (and wife Lorraine), and Robert Halle, also of Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester, NH, followed by committal prayers in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
