Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 10am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 11am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
Obituary Information
Judy M. (Landry) Meade died Saturday at the Kindred Hospital in Brighton after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brockton, daughter of Louise (Mitchell) (Landry) Taylor and the late Arthur W. Landry. She was the step daughter of the late George F. Taylor. She spent her early childhood in Brockton before moving to Whitman, and was a graduate of Whitman Hanson Regional High School, class of 1963. In addition to being a homemaker, she was self employed as an advertising correspondent for the Enterprise. She was a former member of the West Bridgewater Youth Athletic Association, a member of their Board of Directors and a coach, former Board member of the West Bridgewater Boosters Club, Brockton Country Club, West Bridgewater Mothers Club, and was a volunteer for various West Bridgewater Girl Scout Troops.
She was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed ceramics, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog Nicholas.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David F. Meade, Jr., two daughters Kristen Lee Meade and Lindsay Judith Kelliher both of Brockton, her mother Louise Taylor of Brockton, four sisters Carole L. Whitman of Bridgewater, Shirley Wilkinson of Brockton, Irene F. Rogers of Whitman and Lynn M. O’Brien of Brockton, three brothers Arthur R. Landry of Halifax, Scott M Taylor of Brockton and Jeffrey A. Taylor of Halifax. She was the sister of the late James M. Landry and Mildred D. Landry.
