Janie "Elizabeth" Ross Law, 93, of Tifton, went home to be with her Lord on January 27, 2013 at Community Hospice Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Pastor Ralph Flowers will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Law was born on July 28, 1919 in Tifton to the late James Oren Ross and Pearl Cromer Ross. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Everett Law. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she faithfully served her church and community.
Surviving family members include six children and their spouses, Diane and Devane Simpson of Clermont, Sharon and Wayne Carlisle of Pine Mountain, Donna and Stanley Rawlins of Jacksonville, Florida, Charles and Nancy Law of Cartersville, Teresa Linville of Tifton and Greg and Jeanne Law of Cummings; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Ross Vaughn of Tifton; one brother, Wilton Ross of Tifton; sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews.
